a melancholy object to witness
so many do languish in boredom
in this world wide echo chamber
the end of all history before them

over any need for concern
dont make them feel for any pain

beards and PBR may be all they need
and bikes with a fixed chain

appropriate what they haven't earned
nothing amounts to much

a no-wheat meal with a silver fork
indigenous headdress just the right touch

but oh do speak of that one thing
on which their hearts do swell

a clamor so great that it shakes
shakes the trees and leaves a wake

fried fat fat and salt
pray tell is that all

but its not all
never was all

bacon has become our national fetish
our decadent last throes yawp
spent on its grand lasciviousness
and more pigs heads must be chopped

therefore humbly do i offer to public to consider
a modest proposal indeed
that future bacon stock be gleaned
from that which ennui does breed

I grant this food will be somewhat dear and proper for the rich
would stimulate once so great markets back to their prime
efficiency number one prime directive will be profit
lets get this great nation back to work

for since they have no cares at all
no time to consider a pig
let's make hipster bacon our national dish
what can you do but dig?
